Low voltage
Low-voltage and communication cable
The boxes nobody counts: fire alarm cable, data cable, coax, security wire and landscape cable, usually bought for one project and left on a shelf for years.
What is in this category
Fire alarm and life-safety cable with FPL, FPLR and FPLP ratings; voice and data cable from Cat5e through Cat6A; coaxial cable including RG6 and RG11; security and access-control wire; irrigation and landscape cable; speaker and audio cable.
What we buy
- Unopened pull boxes and partial boxes of data and coax
- Fire alarm cable in plenum, riser and general-purpose ratings
- Security, access-control and intercom cable
- Irrigation, landscape and direct-burial low-voltage cable
- Speaker, audio and specialty signal cable
Labels and ratings decide the value
Two boxes of Cat6 look identical until one turns out to be CMP plenum and the other is generic. The same is true of fire alarm cable, where the FPL rating is printed on the jacket. Photograph the box label and the jacket print — those two photos answer most of our questions.

What to send
Details that let us quote it properly
- The cable type and category printed on the box
- Plenum, riser or general purpose rating
- Number of pairs or conductors
- Number of boxes or spools, and whether they are sealed
- Brand and part number if visible
- Photos of the box labels and the jacket print
Email photos to saleselectricalbuyers@gmail.com or add them to the form below. Either way, keep the tag and the jacket legend readable.
Do you buy opened boxes?
Yes, with an honest estimate of what is left. Coil counts or a photo of the box with the remaining cable visible is enough.
Is older Cat5 still worth sending?
It is worth asking about. Value depends heavily on quantity and rating, so send the details and we will tell you.
